As many of you know, I am a fan of anything that has to do with Peter Pan. I’ve read the original story of “Peter and Wendy,” by J.M. Barrie several times. I jump at the chance to read adaptations that tell the story of the boy who refuses to grow up in a different light. I even wrote my own adaptation, Loving the Wind, a book that shares the story of Neverland through the eyes of Tiger Lily.

So when I found out that Spreckels Performing Arts Center was taking on “Peter and the Starcatcher,” a screenplay based on the similarly-titled book by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, I put on my Neverland t-shirt and headed to the theater. I expected a great show, and I was not disappointed.

This Friday, my review will be in the Entertainment section of the Press Democrat. You can read it early, however, by visiting our theater blog, Digitale Stories, where I provided a guest post review of the show.
