Get ready to be inspired and have some fun. Amy Goodman returns to Sonoma County on April 12 to celebrate the launch of the paperback version of her book Standing Up to the Madness: Ordinary Heroes in Extraordinary Times in a benefit for KRCB FM Radio
91.

Not too long ago, Amy Goodman, the popular host of Democracy Now!, and her brother, investigative journalist David Goodman, traveled the country to discover and chronicle the ways in which grassroots activists have taken politics out of the hands of politicians. Standing Up to the Madness tells the stories of everyday folks who have challenged the government and won.

Amy, who will be joined by David Goodman, plans to talk about the book from 3 to 5 p.m., April 12, at Sebastopol Community Center on 390 Morris Street in Sebastopol. The event is co-sponsored by KRCB and Copperfield’s Books. Tickets are $10 per person and are available at the door and at all Sonoma County Copperfield’s Books locations, The Last Record Store, or by phone at KRCB 584-2000.

And for those unfamiliar with Amy Goodman’s radio program Democracy Now!, you can hear her on KRCB FM Radio 91 weekdays at 3:00pm (repeating at midnight Monday-Thursday) or watch her on KRCB-TV Channel 22 weeknights at midnight.* (*Cable and satellite viewers only.)
